Space for both of you
Getting married can bring questions about traditions, family expectations and the kind of ceremony that feels right. You don’t need to resolve every part of a future celebration to explore a civil wedding.
Our online civil ceremony focuses on the legal marriage. You can consider religious or cultural celebrations separately, according to your wishes and the requirements of any community involved.
The legal wedding takes place with an authorized officiant. It does not require a shared religious ceremony.
Keep the ceremony to the required participants or ask about including guests on Zoom.
You can decide together whether to hold another celebration and what role your traditions will have.
Your relationship, your conversations
Couples may agree that they want to marry while still having different ideas about the wedding day. One person may want a family gathering, while the other is ready for a small ceremony. You may also want time to talk about the traditions you hope to share.
A civil ceremony gives the legal step its own place in those conversations. It does not settle religious questions on your behalf.
These are conversations to have together, rather than conditions you need to satisfy for our team.
Different plans can lead to the same next step
You complete the legal ceremony online with your witnesses and leave the larger gathering for another time. That can give family travel and future traditions more room.
You may want different cultural gatherings after getting married. Decide together what those events mean and check any religious community’s requirements before making commitments.
If you’re in different places, both partners can join the live ceremony themselves. Discuss international recognition or immigration questions separately from the ceremony arrangements.
Know what the service provides
Our team can explain the account steps, witnesses, scheduling and marriage documents. You don’t need to justify your choice of a civil ceremony.
If a question depends on religious practice, ask the relevant community. If it depends on foreign recognition or an immigration case, seek advice for that situation.
A small guest list does not make a marriage record confidential. A civil wedding does not change either partner’s faith. An apostille authenticates the certificate but does not guarantee recognition by a country or institution.
Keeping these questions separate helps you make a clearer plan and choose the right people to ask for help.
Guided online, married live
You can join the ceremony from the same place or separate locations. Your account guides your preparation, and your officiant leads the live wedding on Zoom.

Before you make plans
A civil marriage and recognition by a religious community are different matters. A civil ceremony does not guarantee that a religious institution will recognize the marriage or perform a later ceremony.

The ceremony package is $399. The $899 package adds apostille authentication for your marriage certificate. The government license fee is separate. If you plan to use the certificate abroad, requirements depend on the receiving country and office.
