The preparation happens in your online account. The ceremony is a live Zoom call led by an officiant, with both partners and two witnesses participating.
You both need to be 18 or older, legally free to marry and able to complete the required application and identity checks.

Complete the license application
Follow your account instructions. Each partner provides their own information and completes identity verification. The government license fee is separate.
Upload your license and schedule
Once your license is issued, upload it to your account and continue to ceremony scheduling. Coordinate the date and time with your partner.
Attend your wedding
Join the live call with a working camera and microphone. After the ceremony and required filing, the certificate process begins.

You do not need a formal venue. Choose a place where you can hear clearly, see the screen and take part without unnecessary interruptions.

Understand the legal and document steps
Your certificate and where you plan to use it
Same-sex marriage is legal throughout the United States. A valid marriage still needs the proper license, an authorized officiant, the required participation and witnesses, and completed filing.
Using a certificate in another country is a separate question. Recognition of same-sex marriages and remote ceremonies varies. Do not assume that choosing an online ceremony or obtaining an apostille guarantees acceptance for a particular application.
If immigration is part of your plans
Same-sex spouses can qualify for U.S. spousal immigration benefits under the applicable requirements. The marriage alone does not grant immigration status. If you will attend from separate places, get advice about the requirements that apply to a remote ceremony before choosing your filing plans.
If privacy matters to your plans
You can choose who you invite to the ceremony. The marriage still creates an official record, and your application requires personal information. Ask our team about the process if you have privacy questions before booking.

Can same-sex couples use your service?
Yes. Same-sex couples can use our guided online marriage process and the same ceremony packages, subject to the required license and ceremony requirements.
Do we need to live together or travel to the same place?
No. You can join the live ceremony together or from different locations. Each person taking part needs to be able to see and hear the others.
Do we need to find witnesses ourselves?
You can bring two adult witnesses or use the witnesses we provide at no extra charge.
Can we keep the ceremony small?
Yes. You can limit the guest list. The officiant, both partners and two witnesses still take part in the live ceremony.
Will an apostille make our marriage recognized everywhere?
No. Authentication and marriage recognition are different questions. An apostille does not guarantee recognition of a same-sex marriage or a remote ceremony in another country.
What if one of our identification documents uses a different name?
Ask about the requirements before beginning the license application. Use accurate information that matches the required documents, and provide any supporting records requested through the application process.
Can we change our ceremony date if our plans change?
Contact the team about a new date. We are open to rescheduling when plans change.
