Two different ways to plan
Plan around the effective date
Oregon’s local process has two dates worth noticing. Under the state’s marriage law, the usual license becomes effective three days after the application is signed. Its 60-day validity period runs from that effective date. A date written on an application is therefore not necessarily the earliest day on which you can use the license.
For a ceremony using an Oregon license, read the effective and expiration dates together before committing to arrangements. A waiting-period waiver is an approval, not an automatic feature of online paperwork. Ask about it before relying on a ceremony date that falls inside the usual waiting period.
Those Oregon timing rules describe the Oregon licensing route. They are not a timetable for a ceremony booked through Legal Online Marriage. You might want to marry before a family gathering on the coast, in the mountains or at home. Decide which event will be the legal ceremony and which will be the celebration. Share that distinction with anyone helping you plan, so a venue or family member does not accidentally organize a second legal process. You can still exchange personal words at a later gathering without assuming that event needs another marriage license.
For the live online ceremony, choose a place where both partners can hear and respond clearly. If you will join from different locations, compare the appointment time in each time zone and arrange the two adult witnesses. Then make a separate plan for obtaining the recorded certificate. A completed video call and a certified copy of the marriage record are different milestones, so allow room for the document steps in your plans.

Choose document support
The $399 package includes the ceremony. The $899 package adds apostille authentication for your marriage certificate. Both have a separate government marriage license fee. An apostille authenticates a document; it does not guarantee acceptance.
